"If i get an iPod,can i only put music from iTunes onto it,or can i transfer music which i have already have on my PC onto it"? One of the most frequently questions asked by our iPod users sent to us. The answer is absolute YES,iPod users not only can put music purchased from iTunes to iPod but also can put what you have already had on PC onto your iPod unless they are iTunes-compatible ones. But all your own music have to be sent to your iPod through iTunes as well becauese iPod is sort of iPod's slave-meaning iPod only can keep what iTunes havs in it. So when you put your own music to iTunes on your PC,the first step is to put them into iTunes before sync your iPod to the iTunes. Then your iPod can get your own music stored on your PC.
Step 1: go to the menu file and select " add files to library " or "add folder to library"

Step 2: select the music you want to add to your iTunes from your PC
Step 3: sync your iPod to your iTunes
